Eagle Rare 10 Year Single Barrel Bourbon

Tasting Note:

Nose of sweet caramel, cinnamon toast and spices. Palate of caramelized butter, corn syrup, charred oak, subdued alcohol (for bourbon) and a long sweet finish of fiery spice. Very balanced and integrated profile. Texture of thick honey that coats the mouth and slowly dissolves. At 90 proof, there are hotter bourbons out there, but this is so balanced… even straight-up the alcohol is not very noticeable. A simple two fingers of this bourbon was very enjoyable with a few cubes of ice in a rocks glass.
